11 March 2021 To celebrate our win we have released two new drone videos of our site here on the edge of Mid-Devon's beautiful Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We think they show exactly why people love to come and relax in our green and pleasant land surrounded by fresh air, space and nature. A perfect holiday to get away from it all. We worked really hard during lockdown last year to improve our facilities and were rewarded by fantastic reviews from our guests. We are over the moon to receive this award and are really looking forward to the 2021 holiday season. Not only did we clad Badger and Woodpecker in beautiful wood, we also purchased new beds, mattresses and mattress protectors to improve the quality of our accommodation offering. We created new fire pits at Badger and Woodpecker too. 2020 ended up being the busiest season so far for Blackdown Yurts. Once lockdown lifted people sought out time in nature with plenty of space and fresh air - things we have in abundance here at Blackdown Yurts. We have a lot of returning guests, testament to the fact we offer great value for money and that, particularly in uncertain times, people like to travel to places they know and trust. During lockdown we refurbished all four camp kitchens with bespoke kitchen units to make cooking and washing up at your yurt easier and more self contained. We also allocated private bathrooms and fridges to each yurt when we re-opened to help mitigate the risk of Covid.
