How many people can sleep in a yurt?
Our three large yurts (Buzzard, Badger and Woodpecker) can sleep 4 to 6 persons. Our smaller yurt (Willow) sleeps up to 4 people.

What do we sleep on?
A  mix of double and single beds are made from reclaimed timber, with organic mattresses, organic bedlinen and duvets, topped with thick woolen blankets. During the day, some of the beds can be tucked away to become extra seats.

Do I have to bring bed linen?
No, all bed linen is provided. However, you will need to bring your own towels.

Can I get reception on my mobile phone?
Depending on your network, you will be able to pick up some patchy reception on your mobile phone. If you walk up the hill…..

Do you have internet access?
No, we do not have internet access.

Do you have a television?
No, we do not have a television.

What are the facilities on site?
We have an open barn, which has a large communal kitchen area equipped with two fridge freezers, a microwave, electric kettle, toaster and grill. There is also a large kitchen table and chairs, cupboards full of crockery and cooking utensils and a large lounge area with sofas and armchairs to relax in. Next door, are two hot electric shower areas, one with a flushing toilet.

What do we cook on?
We have provided a small ‘field kitchen’ next to each yurt, with a two ring/grill/oven camping gas cooker. There is also a barbeque outside each yurt, as well as a fire pit stocked with logs at no extra cost.

Do you allow for group bookings?
We can cater for group bookings, and welcome parties, wedding events, corporate bookings and most other group events. However, in order to ensure privacy and peace for our guests, we will only take group bookings for the entire site.

Can we bring our children?
Yes! Youngsters love the freedom of outdoor living and we can help to make your stay with little ones as hassle free as possible. We can provide a travel cot or high chair on request.

Where do we park our car?
There is a small car park on site, a short distance from the yurts. No cars are allowed on the grassed areas in front of the yurts.

Can you drink the water?
Yes, it comes from 60 ft under ground from our own bore hole.

Do we need to bring anything?
Only towels and food

Do you have any loos that flush?
Yes. Next to the main field kitchen there are hot showers and flushing loos that run into a reed bed.

Will the beds be made up?
Yes, we provide all organic bedding including cotton covers seeps wool bed rolls.

What cooking facilities are there?
There is a large field kitchen with mongolian wood burners, camping stoves plus a large gas barbeque and a microwave for baby food etc..

Can I plug my mobile phone/hair drier etc in..?
Yes, but only in the field kitchen and plugs are limited.

Do you have electricity in the yurts?
No. The yurts only have solar power for one light. We do provide lanterns/tea-lights and torches though.

Do I need to bring a pair of wellies?
Yes. It’s a good idea to pack a pair of wellies if it has been or it looks like it might be raining. This the country after all. If you don’t have a pair we can point you in the right direction of a local stockist.

Can I bring my dog he is very well behaved?
Sorry no, not even if he sleeps in the car.

Is there a fridge/freezer?
Yes there is fridge and a freezer in the large field kitchen. Each yurt also has a cool box to keep things like milk cool and nearby for that essential cup of tea.

Is there hot water on tap?
Yes, but only in the large field kitchen and the adjoining toilet/shower block.

What facilities does each yurt have?
Each yurt has its own cold water tap and a small field kitchen with pots pans cutlery and china. They also have their own compost loo.
