Woodpecker Yurt can sleep up to six people in a single and four doubles and has open views across fields to the surrounding woodland of the Blackdown Hills. Woodpecker and Badger Yurts both sit in a flat field with plenty of space outside for children to play and make dens. Woodpecker has its own private space, enclosed by a high Devon bank scattered with wild flowers. This yurt is the farthest away on the flat (Buzzard is a little further up the hill) from the shared barn and showers, but still not too far.
A ‘field kitchen’ beside the yurt is kitted out with a camping gas stove, and cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots and pans are provided. It has its own barbeque and fire pit (all wood supplied for log burners and fire pits). Fresh water is on tap outside, along with your own composting loo. Outside furniture provided.

All our yurts have their own compost toilet and field kitchen. You have a gas stove and oven, plenty of pots and pans, cutlery and utensils as well as a cool box. Each yurt also has a barbeque and a small fire pit for toasting marshmallows! We provide firewood for your barbeque and your woodburning stove in the yurt and can give you tips on using it safely. There is a tap providing fresh water from our bore hole on site. You also have full use of the barn which has more cooking facitilies and dining space. Open 2018 season are our beautiful new showers next to the barn which you have full use of.
