The Blackdown Hills - Devon

The Blackdown Hills, a popular holiday destination, are set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching from Wellington to Honiton and Membury.

Our yurts are set in a beautiful valley between the villages of Blackborough and Kentisbeare.

By day, hundreds of footpaths, river banks, ancient woodland, villages and churches are just waiting to be explored.

We can supply you with maps and plenty of helpful suggestions. We can even lend you a bike if you prefer pedal power to walking.

The Blackdown Hills provide a wonderful opportunity for walking, cycling and horse riding.

There are plenty of excellent places to eat and drink locally, and we would be happy to share some of our favourite pubs and restaurants with you.

As the sun sets over the hill, solar lights or lanterns cast a warm glow, and outside each of the yurts a specially built fire pit is perfect for cooking food over an open fire, and swapping stories of the day as the embers burn down.

Beyond, in the dusk, badgers and foxes patrol the hedgerows, rabbits dash across the fields and owls circle the night sky, scanning the ground for prey....

What else can you do around here?
